Bury Suffolk or Bury St. Edmunds to give it its full name was once the capital of East Anglia and the town and surrounding area are full of history. A lovely medieval market town, it has a warm and friendly atmosphere throughout the year.

Bury Suffolk has undergone a huge rejuvenation period in past years and this can be seen most beautifully in the newly restored Regency Theatre Royal.

Shopping and Eating Out in Bury St Edmunds
The arc shopping development opened in March 2009, bringing a new Debenhams and range of shops to the area which complement the many independent and High Street traders, plus the twice-weekly market, in the historic centre. The multi-million shopping and residential investment in the arc by developers Centros includes an £18.5 million cultural investment by Bury Suffolk St Edmundsbury Borough Council – The Apex and substantial surface and underground car parking.
Bury St Edmunds Town Centre
The town centre has a huge range of places to eat and drink as well as shop, plus many other attractions such as the national award-winning Abbey Gardens and Moyse's Hall Museum.
Some of the places to eat include the usual fastfood restaurants, Pizza Hut and Burger King etc but in addition are some fabulous Indian restaurants and Italian restaurants with Strada and The Angel Hotel the pick of bunch and certainly one of the best restaurants in Bury St Edmunds.
